Sushi de Neko
Welcome to Sushi de Neko, a fictional restaurant inspired by the renowned Sushi Shop in Montreal, QC.

This project showcases a unique menu design, combining various artistic elements to create a visually appealing and functional piece.

All illustrations are original creations, and the images used are from royalty-free sources, carefully composited to form a cohesive art piece.

Adobe Illustrator: Used to create the logo and illustrations.

Adobe Photoshop: Used to create the 3D mockup of the menu with a background similar to what the restaurant would have.

Adobe InDesign: Used to layout and arrange all the elements of the menu together.
CREATIVE PROCESS
Logo Design Variations
Initial inspiration for the logo was from Sushi Shop. I modified the logo first and then decided to change the name of the restaurant. Hence, it became Sushi de Neko from Neko de Nouilles (Cat’s Noodles).
Color Scheme Variations
I chose a bright, vibrant color scheme that would look against a white background and a blue-black background.
Typography
For the fonts used in the Menu Design, I used 3 fonts from the Adobe Font Library. (For Titles, Subtitles and paragraph)

Illustrations
All illustrations are original or AI-generated or modified from the symbol library of Illustrator.
Lucky Cat Statue: Inspired by Maneki-Neko. Added a traditional paper umbrella and sakura branches for a welcoming look.
Bonsai Tree: Created with Illustrator's Generate Prompt. Added sakura-colored leaves.
Sushi Plate: Referenced from actual sushi images & AI Generate and modified to fit the design.
Noodle meal Box (Original Piece): Created with symbol library & online references and AI prompts. Illustrations include various dishes like edamame, tempura, sashimi and wonton, depicted dynamically.
Onigiri (Rice Ball): Referenced from actual Onigiri photograph and modified to match the level of detail to fit the design.
Nigiri: Inspired by real-life photographs and symbol library references. Adjusted color scheme to match other assets.
